How classes activate reflexive strength
Each class follows the reflexive support protocol described in the About page:
Assess → Release → Reshape → Mobilise → Stabilise → Re-assess
In every session you will experience:
Assessment
A gentle warm-up and other exercise to observe how your spine is organising support today.

Targeted release
Precise use of props and positioning to reduce unnecessary holding in the lab’s focus area.

Reshape alignment
Careful fascial work to reorganise structure so new support can become available.
Mobilise the new alignment
Simple, zero-impact movements that help the nervous system recognise this new position as safe and usable.
Stabilise reflexive strength
Exercises that activate and refine deep postural support so strength holds without conscious effort.
Re-assessment
Taking a moment to assess what has shifted — and where attention might still be needed.

Why returning matters
Classes alternate between the lower back and upper back core sequences.
These two sequences form the foundation of the method. They are where decades of holding patterns most often accumulate — and where consistent practice creates the most reliable change.
The first time you attend, you’ll map your current holding patterns and usually sense shifts clear enough to understand how the work functions.
Each time you return, you work a little deeper.

Safe and supported practice
Using carefully selected props, you’ll explore movements that feel challenging but fully safe. Your body learns to release chronic tension, improve alignment, and restore mobility without strain. Two short silent videos below show exercises from the first two sequences.

The classes focus on foundational sequences that support most bodies most of the time.
You work at your own level.
Whether easing pain or enhancing performance, the same principles apply: release unnecessary holding, restore alignment, retrain support.
Every class allows space for careful observation and individual refinement within the group structure.
The aim is not performance.
It is reliable, repeatable support.

Props
Reflexive Strength Therapy & Training relies on specific, simple props — like strips, felts, and massage balls — to help your body feel grounded and supported.
At present, I provide all props for classes, except for the wool–felts which are currently on order from the Netherlands.
In the meantime, until these wool–felts arrive, I ask all class participants to bring 2 large bath towels to every class. This will allow you to make different sizes of bolster/rolls/cushions to support the work for your lower or upper back.
(NB. If you already have a Critical Alignment wool-felt, then you can bring this instead.)

Classes are 2 hours long, to ensure that all participants get a full transmission of the exercises.
Please aim to arrive between 6:15 and 6:25 pm so you can register, settle, and get the most benefit from the session.

​​​​​​Kings Cross, Chancery Lane and Farringdon tube stations are all around 15 minutes walk away, or around 10 minutes away with a connecting bus.

Pricing

First class is free for newcomers.

Then a sliding scale: £15 – £25 – £35 per class (community/standard price/supporter price — self-certified based on ability/desire to pay)

Special discount: Training program participants get 50% off the above prices. Please message me privately if you need the special access code to book at this reduced rate.

Missed sessions: Please tell me in advance if you are going to miss a booked practice lab, and I will carry your ticket forward to your next session.

Refund policy: Practice lab bookings will be refunded automatically, no questions asked, provided they are at least 24 hours away, at the time you request a refund. There will be a deduction for the Eventbrite booking fee which cannot be cancelled.
